About the Position: The purpose of this position is to serve as the Processing Section supervisor, responsible for implementing United States Military Entrance Processing Command and Department of Defense policies while processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Services. Supervises, counsels, trains and evaluates assigned Human Resources Assistant(s), Lead Human Resource Assistant(s), Transportation Assistant, and other personnel assigned to the section. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: performing quality review of applicant records or personnel documents; utilizing automated systems to update military human resources personnel records; providing guidance or training to stakeholders on military human resources procedures; AND leading a group or team to ensure assigned tasks are completed. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Oral Communication Teaches Others Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). This one-grade interval occupational series typically calls for at least 52 weeks' time in grade at the next lower grade; however, it has been determined that there is no position in the normal line of progression within this organization that is one grade lower than the position being filled in. In such instances, 52 weeks' time in grade at the second lower level, GS-06, will be creditable.
